Compliance System Build

A working CBP and EU compliance system, inside your company.

When CBP or an EU authority asks a question, the best answer is one your own team can give quickly, with the records in one place.

We build that system with you, across every hub you make in, then hand it over.

Why build a system, and why it's very doable

CBP and the EU judge importers on evidence: who made it, from what, and who got paid. For most importers, that evidence is scattered across emails, supplier folders, a broker's files and a few people's memory.

That works until the day someone asks. Then it's a scramble.

A compliance system fixes that once. The rules are written down, the supplier records sit in one place, and your team knows what to do. It's not a legal department. It's an orderly way of working, built around how you already buy.

The goal is simple: when a request arrives, your team can pull together an answer in 24 to 48 hours.

Who it's for

  • Importers with several suppliers or many products, in more than one country.
  • Importers who have had a customs question or a detention, and want the next one to be easy.
  • Growing importers who need an orderly way of working but don't have a compliance team yet.
  • Importers whose retailers or customers have started asking for supply chain records.

If a customs request is open right now, start with CBP Response. We help first, and the system can follow.

What you get

1.

The gap review.

A short, honest report on where your suppliers, products and internal steps stand today, and what to fix first.

2.

The playbook.

Plain written procedures your team can follow: classification, origin checks, valuation controls, ISF review and supplier documentation.

3.

The supplier files.

A file for each supplier, in every hub, built with the supplier and kept current. Each one shows who they are, what they make, where materials come from and how shipments match their paperwork.

4.

The legal toolkit.

Supplier contracts with rights to visit and review records, penalties and indemnification, drafted with local counsel in each country.

5.

The practice run and training.

A full practice run of a CBP request, with a short list of fixes, and training for the people who will use the system.

6.

The compliance binder.

One central file with the contracts, supplier statements, memos and verification records, so anyone on your team, or your broker, can find what they need.

EU modules are added where they apply: the forced labour regulation, CBAM, deforestation rules and chemical requirements.

How it works
1.

We look.

We review your suppliers, products and current steps, and write the gap review. You see what's already strong, and what to fix first.

2.

We build.

We write the playbook and the contracts, and, with our teams in each hub, we sit down with your suppliers, face to face, to build their files. We explain what's needed and why. That's how the records actually get handed over.

3.

We practise.

We run a full practice request, the way CBP would ask it, and fix what the practice shows. We train the people who will use the system.

4.

We hand it over.

You get the playbook, the files, the contracts and the binder, with a walk-through. The system is yours.

What we cover

Classification and valuation.

Written steps so entries are consistent and your team knows who checks what.

Origin.

How each product's origin is checked and recorded, including where the real manufacturing happens.

Forced labor and supplier tracing.

Records that trace each product back to raw material, in the way CBP's guidance asks.

Supplier documentation.

What each supplier hands over, when, and how it's matched to your orders and payments.

Contracts.

Terms that give you access, clear responsibilities and a way to resolve problems in each country.

Your team.

Who does what, how a request is answered, and who to call.

What it costs

From $18,000.

The price depends on the number of suppliers, products and countries, and on whether EU modules are included.

Every build is scoped and priced in writing before you pay. You know the work, the price and the end date before we start.

After the build

The system is yours. What happens next is your choice.

  • Run it yourself. Your own team, or any employer-of-record provider you choose, can run it as it is.
  • Keep it fresh. For month-to-month work with a supplier: China Agent Ltd in China, or Vietnam-Agent.com and India-Agent.com in those hubs. An option, never a requirement.
  • Add a factory or move a product. Production Move builds the origin records from the first run.
  • Add people in a hub. Local Team Setup puts your own team in place.

Questions about Compliance System Build

What is a compliance system build?

A project where Asia Agent builds a working CBP and EU compliance system inside your company: written procedures, supplier files in every hub, supplier contracts, a practice run and training, and one binder with the evidence. The system is handed over to your own team.

Do I need a compliance team first?

No. The system is built so a small team can run it. You decide who does what, and we write it down.

How long does it take?

About 90 days from the start of the build. The exact plan depends on the number of suppliers, products and countries, and is agreed in writing at the start.

Does it replace my customs broker?

No. Your broker still files your entries and your trade counsel still advises. The system makes their work easier, because the records are in one place.

Does it cover the EU as well as CBP?

Yes. Builds include EU modules where they apply: the forced labour regulation from December 2027, CBAM for steel and aluminium, deforestation rules for wood and rubber, and chemical requirements.

What if CBP has already sent us a request?

Start with CBP Response. We help first and gather the factory-side records your broker and counsel need. The system can follow once the shipment is moving.

What do suppliers have to do?

Hand over documents most of them already have: licenses, bills of materials, purchase records and export papers. We sit down with them, explain why, and help them get it right.

Do you give legal advice?

No. We build the supplier side: the records, files and structure. Your customs broker and trade counsel advise and file.

How do I get started?

Book a 30-minute meeting. We'll talk about your suppliers and products, then scope the build in writing.

Want one orderly place for all your supplier records?

Tell us what you import, from where, and who your suppliers are. We'll tell you what a build would cover and what it would cost.
