# How a build works

Four steps. A start, an end and a handover.

Every Asia Agent program follows the same simple shape: we see what's real, prove where it's made, put the frame in place and hand it over.

## The four steps

1\.

### See what's real

Who actually makes your product, in every country, down to raw material. Suppliers, sub-suppliers, the real production flow. Not the sales profile. The real chain.

Most of this is learned face to face. Our teams in each hub sit down with your suppliers, ask the simple questions, and write down what they find.

**At the end of this step:** a map of who makes what, and a short list of what to fix first.

2\.

### Prove where it's made

Where the real manufacturing happens, with the records to show it, product by product. Purchase records, production records, shipments and payments, checked against each other.

This is the part CBP and the EU ask about: where was this made, from what, and by whom?

**At the end of this step:** an origin evidence pack for each product, and an honest view of what is strong and what is missing.

3\.

### Put the frame in place

The structure that keeps it working: contracts that hold in each country, payment milestones, a file for each supplier, simple procedures your team can follow, and training for the people who will use them.

It isn't a legal department. It's an orderly way of working, built around how you already buy.

**At the end of this step:** the contracts, the supplier files and the procedures, ready to use.

4\.

### Hand it over

The system is yours. It runs with your own team, or with any employer-of-record provider you choose, and it's built to be affordable to run on its own.

In the factories

Most suppliers are good. They just haven't been asked for this before, and nobody has sat down and explained what is needed and why.

So we sit down with them, face to face, over tea, not threats. We explain what CBP and the EU are asking, and we help them get it right. That's how suppliers end up handing over the records they'd never email to a stranger.

Some suppliers can't meet the new requirements, and nobody can fix that. It's better to know before you place the order than at the port, and we'll tell you honestly.

## Who does what

You make the decisions: which products, which suppliers, which countries. You own the system and the records.

Your broker and counsel file with CBP and advise on the law. We build around what they need.

We do the work in the factories and put the system in place: the map, the records, the contracts, the supplier files and the procedures.

We don't file with CBP, give legal advice or promise an outcome.

## Questions about how a build works

How long does a build take?

It depends on the program. Mapping & Origin usually takes 2 to 6 weeks, and a Compliance System Build takes about 90 days. For the other programs the timeline is agreed in writing at the start.

How much of my time does it need?

You'll be asked for your product details, your supplier list and your decisions at key points. We handle the factories.

What do suppliers have to do?

Hand over documents most of them already have: licenses, bills of materials, purchase records and export papers. We sit down with them, explain why, and help them get it right.

Can I stop after the first or second step?

Yes. Each program is scoped on its own, in writing, before you pay. Many importers start with the map and decide what comes next once they've seen it.

What if a supplier can't meet the requirements?

Most can, once someone explains what's needed. If one can't, you learn it early, before the order, and we'll tell you honestly. That's a useful thing to know.

Do I have to keep working with you afterwards?

No. Every system is built to run with your own team or any employer-of-record provider you choose.

Does a build replace my customs broker?

No. Your broker still files your entries and your trade counsel still advises. The system makes their work easier, because the records are in one place.

Do you give legal advice?

No. We build the supplier side: the records, files and structure. Your customs broker and trade counsel advise and file.
